How do I use it?

The Hair Show is a consultation tool. You use it to help the client decide on what would really suit them. You can sell the consultation and earn money in a fun way. If you have your own salon you can sell the consultaton and book it in as a regular appointment. The Hair show enables salons to be a lot more creative in the styles they offer because they don’t have to persuade clients to take a chance on something they haven’t seen. You can show them what style ideas will look like before they have any of the work done.

Will it work with a webcam?

Yes but it is not recommended. It has been tested with a variety of webcam type devices but the quality was found to be far too poor for use in a professional salon environment. Digital cameras have come down in price so much in the last year and the quality of a proper digital camera is so good that it isn't really worth trying to do it any cheaper. The standard required for professional use with The Hair Show is quite high as far as the lens is concerned but not so high as far as the range of resolutions the camera is capable of. All that is required is a good quality 640 x 480 image resolution and some method of connecting the camera to the PC. This is usually by serial cable or a disk like device that can be read from the floppy drive.

How can I use it when my salon is busy?

The Hair Show does not require a trained stylist to operate it. Training in how to use The Hair Show may be needed but that only takes about half a day as compared to several years for a stylist. This means you can hire people to operate the software. Or you can train all the stylists in the salon. They are seldom all busy at the same time. The main thing though is to charge for The Hair Show service and book appointments for that service as you do with any other service you offer. This service is valuable. Don't take our word for it ask your clients.

Can I have a library of hairstyles exclusive to my salon?

Of course you can. You can photograph them yourself and then use the "add styles" feature of the software to process the images so as to use the styles on other peoples' faces. If you want better results you can have them professionaly photographed and then send the pictures to us to be processed. We only charge £5 per picture and we will remove the face and background and then make several colour variations of the style for you. Or we can do the photography as well for the all in price of £500 as long as the shoot is completed in one day.

Will my salon be the only one in my area to use The Hair Show?

If you are the first then you will be the only one until another salon has it. We do not consider it to be in anyone's best interests to have exclusive rights. If you had the only salon in the area then you would have to promote the fact that much harder. There would be some advantage if clients could not go elsewhere but we would have to charge a huge premium to not be allowed to sell to anyone else in the area.
